Stephen Smith works with injured persons and persons accused of crimes to achieve the best possible outcome in often impossible legal situations.

Mr. Smith represents victims of automobile accidents, workplace injuries, premises liability, and general negligence matters. Our goal is to always provide just compensation for the injuries suffered by our clients.

Mr. Smith’s criminal practice is statewide and includes the representation of criminal defendants in serious federal matters. Some of his criminal defense cases include murder, manslaughter, drug offenses, traffic violations, domestic violence, sex offenses, and weapons offenses.

Military: A Desert Storm vet, Mr. Smith served in the U.S. Army Infantry from 1987-1991. He was a Sniper Team Leader in the reserves from 1991-1998 and an Engineer Platoon Leader from 1998-2000. Mr. Smith currently serves as a JAG officer with the Maine Army National Guard.
