About Dan Street, the founder of STREET LAW FIRM:
Dan Street was born in 1952 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1974 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice and English.
In his first year of college, Dan was the only freshman selected for the Varsity Debate Team at USM. He went on to graduate from the University of Mississippi School of Law with a Juris Doctorate in 1976. While in law school he served as Vice-Chancellor of Delta Theta Phi Law Fraternity.
Dan moved to Texas immediately upon graduation from law school and began work as Director of Development of First Baptist Church of Dallas, serving as the first attorney on the staff of Dr. W. A. Criswell. In 1978, Dan was sworn in as a Dallas County Assistant District Attorney under legendary D. A. Henry Wade. In 1979, at the age of 27, Dan was appointed the first Referee/Master of Dallas County, sitting as a judge in the 304th and 305th District Courts. During his four-year tenure, Dan presided over more than 10,000 hearings and trials.
In 1982, Dan was hired as an associate for a Dallas personal injury law firm. Within six months he was made a Partner in the firm, and within two years owned his own personal injury law firm. Dan is a long-time member of various Trial Lawyers Associations, including the American Association for Justice.
Dan is licensed to practice law in all Texas courts and in the Federal District Courts for the Northern and Eastern Districts of Texas. Dan has been chosen as an Outstanding Young Man in America and inducted into Who's Who Among Outstanding Americans. He is also an active member of Prestonwood Baptist Church.
Dan has four children, all of whom graduated from college. His two sons are now medical doctors, one daughter is in graduate nursing school, and his other daughter is in graduate architecture school. When not fighting insurance companies, Dan enjoys sailing in the Caribbean.
