If you already knew about Lewis & Daggett before you visited this site, you can thank Michael J. Lewis. He is a pioneer in television advertising in the Piedmont Triad, extensively marketing the firm on television for more than 20 years. Michael's keen interest in business management helped create public awareness of the firm and its high level of client service.
Michael has been practicing law since 1970, after graduating from Wake Forest Law School. A decade later, he obtained record verdicts in several North Carolina counties and wanted to concentrate his practice on personal injury cases.
" People come to us with problems they can't solve by themselves, and being able to help them is the best part of what we do," he says. "I always find out how our clients are doing and what kind of illness or problem they're suffering from. I want them to know I'm interested in helping them."
Michael excels at forming great relationships with his clients, a quality that has made him vital to the growth of a community service program, Safe Sober Prom Night, he and partner David Daggett started in 1991. By gathering support from Carolina Ford Dealers and Wendy's, Michael has helped the program expand to serve ten counties and 49 high schools in North and South Carolina. He and his partner, David Daggett, received the Jake Alexander Award from the Governor's Highway Safety Program in 1995 for their efforts.
