Do I Need to Hire a Lawyer?
We are a service that offers guidance on Illinois legal matters and if needed, a referral to an Illinois attorney that focuses on a specific area of law. It is not our goal to refer every person that contacts us to an Illinois attorney. Rather we want to point everyone that we speak with in the right direction.
Sometimes the right direction involves not hiring a lawyer at all. When you receive a free consultation at your office we will try to help you determine if there are other resources to solve your problem or if retaining a lawyer would not be cost effective. For example, if you want to file a complaint against your employer for harassment, you may best served by filing a complaint at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission or the Illinois Department of Human Rights. In the alternative, if you are being sued over a $200.00 debt, we may help you realize that paying an attorney to defend you wouldn’t make financial sense. At times we help people that contact us that there are non-legal means available to resolve their problem.
Whether you are sure you need to hire or not, when you call our office you will speak with an experienced Illinois lawyer at no cost no matter where in Illinois your situation is. Below is a list of other valuable resources to help you make a decision.
