About Philip Stroud

Philip A. Stroud is a founding member of the firm, and his practice is devoted to general civil litigation with a focus on personal injury. Given the economic explosion in DeSoto County and the ever growing need for real estate practitioners, he has also established a real estate practice that is equipped to handle a client’s need for title work, title insurance, foreclosures, and real estate closings.

Philip grew up in DeSoto County, MS and completed his elementary and high school education at Southern Baptist Educational Center in Memphis, Tennessee. He completed his undergraduate degree in Managerial Finance from the University of Mississippi, and went on to receive his law degree from Samford University Cumberland School of Law in Birmingham, Alabama.

While in law school, he achieved Dean’s List and was an active member of the Henry Upson Sims Moot Court Board. Upon graduation from law school, he was admitted to the Alabama Bar and accepted a position with Lyons, Pipes & Cook, P.C., an insurance defense litigation firm in Mobile, Alabama. Shortly after accepting this position, he gained admission to the Mississippi Bar and began practicing law in both states.

Philip is admitted to practice law in the Supreme Court of Mississippi, All Mississippi Federal Courts, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals , and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, the Supreme Court of Alabama, and the Federal Court for the Southern District of Alabama. He has held membership in the Mississippi Bar Association, the Alabama Bar Association, the Alabama Trial Lawyers Association, the Mississippi Trial Lawyers Association, and the American Bar Association.
