ABout Linda Marsh:
Linda Marsh is an accomplished trial lawyer and a skilled veteran in civil litigation. After graduating magna cum laude from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Albany in 1975 with a Bachelor of Arts degree, she went on to earn a Juris Doctorate degree from SUNY Buffalo in 1978.
After graduating, she joined the firm of Smith, Murphy & Schoepperle, which concentrates on civil litigation with a focus on products liability, labor law, municipal liability, medical malpractice and other personal injury, and wrongful death. She was named partner in 1984 and worked there until 1994 when she joined her husband, Arthur Ziller, at Ziller, Marsh & Lang as a partner.
Ms. Marsh's professional activities include membership in the American Bar Association, the American Trial Lawyers Association, the New York State Bar Association, the Women Lawyers of Western New York, Western New York Trial Lawyers Association, and the Bar Association of Erie County.
She is also a founding member and past president of the Women's Bar Association of the State of New York, Western New York Chapter; former vice president of the Buffalo Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates; and director of the University at Buffalo's School of Law Alumni Association.
Additionally, Ms. Marsh served as an advisory council member of the State of New York Unified Court System, Eighth Judicial District, as well as chair of its Subcommittee on Jury System, chair of its Subcommittee on Educating Schools & Civic Groups About the Judicial Branch, and chair of its Speakers' Committee. She is also the 2001 recipient of the M. Dolores Denman Lady Justice Award for Lifetime Achievement from the Women's Bar Association of the State of New York, Western New York Chapter.
Ms. Marsh has been a judge at UB's School of Law Moot Court Competitions and Research and Writing Moot Court Competitions as well as the New York State Bar Association's Mock Trial Tournaments. She has also been a frequent presenter at seminars on trial practice and substantive areas of law.
In addition to practicing law, Ms. Marsh's civic activities include presentations to Rotary Clubs, Lion Clubs, and school groups. She has been a personal and corporate underwriter for WBFO/ National Public Radio, served on Hallwalls Contemporary Art Center Capital Committee, and participated in various other activities at the University at Buffalo.
