T. Verner Smith is a native of Jackson-Madison County, Tennessee and has practiced law in Madison County and rural West Tennessee since 1986.  Mr. Smith practices in all counties in rural West Tennessee outside Memphis, Shelby County.  His practice is primarily limited to representing accident victims in motor vehicle cases, social security disability claims, workers compensation cases and premises liability, fall down or slip and fall cases.  Since 1986 Mr. Smith has been lead counsel in approximately 20 jury trials and countless bench trials involving personal injury cases.

T. Verner Smith is the senior partner of the firm. Verner is a fourth generation native of Madison County. He attended primary school here, then graduated from the University of Tennessee-Martin. He was then accepted at one of the premier trial advocacy schools in the Southeast: Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in Alabama, completing his legal education in 1985.  Verner was licensed to practice law in Tennessee in 1985, and began work with Moss, Benton and Wallis, as well as Hill, Boren P.C. 

    In 1994 he started his own law practice and has risen to be one of the top consumer bankruptcy attorneys in the area.
