About Our Attorneys:-
Paul Epstein
Paul Epstein, a native of Hull, graduated Hull High School in 1971. He continued his education at the University of Pennsylvania, graduating with a B.S. in Criminology. Paul also has an M.S. in Criminal Justice from American International College, and a J.D. from Franklin Pierce Law Center.
Before starting law school, he worked as a police officer and an investigator for the public defender's officer. Upon graduation from law school, he worked as an Assistant District Attorney in Essex County, where he became the supervising ADA for the Lawrence area. As recognition of his extensive trial experience, Paul was selected to be a clinical instructor of trial tactics at Harvard Law School.
Prior to forming The Law Offices of Epstein, Lipsey & Clifford P.C. with Bruce Lipsey and Scott Clifford, Paul was a founding partner in The Law Offices of Spillane & Epstein, P.C. Attorney Epstein concentrates in Personal Injury, Products Liability, Business Mediation, and Criminal Defense. He is admitted to practice in Massachusetts, The Federal District Court, The United States Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court. He has also been admitted to argue cases in Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Florida.
Paul is a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, The Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys, The Massachusetts Bar Association, The Plymouth County Bar Association, and has been named an Advocate by the National College of Advocacy in Alabama. Paul has tried hundreds of cases in most Courts in the Commonwealth, and has mediated many business disputes.
Bruce Lipsey
Bruce Lipsey, a native of Providence, Rhode Island, graduated with Honors from Brown University with a concentration in Ethics and Political Philosophy. Subsequently, he received his law degree from Suffolk Law School, with honors in oral advocacy and brief writing. While at Suffolk, Mr. Lipsey was named a contributing editor to the widely used lawyer's resource, Proof of Cases in Massachusetts. Further, Mr. Lipsey clerked for the Honorable Judge James Sweeney.
Mr. Lipsey not only tries cases in the district and superior courts, but also represents clients before the workers' compensation board, social security department and accidental disability retirement board.
Mr. Lipsey is a member of the Plymouth and Norfolk County Bar Associations and the workers' compensation sub-committee of the Mass Bar Association. Currently, Mr. Lipsey serves as the Chairman of the Massachusetts Bar Association Sub-Committee on Workers' Compensation. He is a frequent lecturer on workers' compensation issues and has appeared on WNTN as a commentator on workers' compensation. Mr. Lipsey is also a standing member of the Bench/ Bar committee where judges and lawyers meet to discuss policy issues relating to injured workers. He is also a member of the Federal bar.
Scott J. Clifford
Scott J. Clifford, a native of Holbrook, graduated from Holbrook High School in 1991 and Bridgewater State College in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science degree in political science, concentration in legal studies. A graduate of New England School of Law, he is admitted to practice in all the courts in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and Federal District Court in Massachusetts.
Mr. Clifford lives with his wife, Nancy, in Norwood. His practice concentrates in the area of civil litigation, especially personal injury and products liability cases. He is a member of the Board of Governors for the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys.
Mr. Clifford also represents buyers, sellers and lenders in the purchase, sale and leasing of residential and commercial property along with representing corporations with their legal needs ranging from incorporation to human resource needs.
