On September 3, 1960, Gordon R. Gross, Irving M. Shuman and Paul Gonson formed the law firm of Gross, Gonson & Shuman. After Paul joined the SEC in 1961, the firm became Gross Shuman. Originally focused on family businesses and business litigation, the firm expanded to include real estate development and financing, and in 1971, Peter Gilfillan joined the firm in this developing area. When the firm merged with the Brizdle law firm in 1978, the name was changed to its present name, Gross Shuman Brizdle & Gilfillan, P.C.
As our clients' needs evolved, our practice expanded to include the addition of equally dedicated lawyers to serve our clients' evolving legal needs, premised upon the same values on which we were founded, hard work and timely communication with our clients.
At Gross Shuman, we have long recognized that most legal matters presented to us are not confined to a single practice category. Instead, legal problems and advice will involve a broad knowledge of several practice categories.
We understand the importance of meeting our clients'expectations, and doing so in a cost-effective manner. We have built our reputation on this, through hard work and timely communication with you, our client. This is the foundation of our practice.
