J. David Andress is a native of Montgomery, Alabama. He earned a B.S. in Microbiology and a B.A. in History from Louisiana State University and graduated from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University in 2002. Mr. Andress is an associate of the Grand Law Firm and he concentrates his practice in the areas of consumer bankruptcy, representing clients in cases under Chapter 7 and Chapter 13, personal injury, successions, and consumer rights.
Mr. Andress has previously represented banks, lenders, and credit card companies in both state court and federal bankruptcy court. Mr. Andress’ consumer bankruptcy clients have greatly benefited from his unique perspective as a former creditors’ attorney.
Mr. Andress has represented clients in the federal court system and in most city, parish, and state courts in south Louisiana. He has also assisted individuals on a pro bono basis in the areas of corporate formation, successions, property disputes, and wills.
Mr. Andress is licensed by the Supreme Court of the State of Louisiana and is admitted to practice before the Eastern, Middle, and Western Federal District Courts for the State of Louisiana, as well as the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeal.
