Kenneth F. McCallion
Kenneth F. McCallion leads an accomplished team of personal injury attorneys at McCallion & Associates. He has more than 30 years' experience in a wide range of legal practice areas, including class actions, toxic torts, wrongful death, employment law, insurance law, international law, environmental law, and consumer protection. Mr. McCallion is a graduate of Yale University and Fordham Law School and is an assistant professor at Cardozo Law School.
Mr. McCallion has an outstanding record of victories and has handled some of the country's largest, multi-million dollar cases, including the Exxon Valdez oil spill case in Alaska, the Shoreham Nuclear Power Plant litigation, the Gulf War case, and the Bhopal Gas disaster litigation. As lead counsel in the federal class action litigation against various French banks, Mr. McCallion successfully represented Holocaust survivors and the families of victims, resulting in the establishment of a substantial settlement fund and claims procedure. Additionally, he represented thousands of World War II victims of forced and slave labor in their successful settlement claims against the German government and German industries. This year Mr. McCallion won a major jury verdict against a pesticide company on behalf of a family exposed to Dursban TC, a pesticide manufactured by Dow Chemical Corp. Currently, Mr. McCallion represents families of the victims of the American Airlines crash Flight 587 and veterans of the first Gulf War (in 1991) who were injured after exposure to chemicals sold to the Saddam Hussein regime in Iraq by various European chemical companies. Mr. McCallion also represents the families of victims of the 9/11 World Trade Center terrorist attack.
Lucille A. Roussin
Lucille A. Roussin joined the McCallion & Associates team of personal injury attorneys specializing in cultural property, public interest litigation, and holocaust assets restitution. She is the founder and director of the Holocaust Restitution Claims Practicum at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, from which she received her law degree. There, she teaches a seminar entitled "Remedies for War Time Confiscation" and is a frequent lecturer on cultural property law. Before joining McCallion & Associates, Ms. Roussin was the deputy research director of the Arts and Cultural Property Team of the Presidential Commission on Holocaust Assets in the United States, and she was an associate at Herrick, Feinstein, LLP in New York City.
Ms. Roussin also holds a doctorate degree in art history and archaeology from the prestigious Columbia University, and was a Fulbright Scholar in Israel. She is currently a member of numerous noteworthy organizations, including the Cultural Properties Legislation and Policy Subcommittee of the Archaeological Institute of America as well as the Cultural Property of the American Bar Association.
Robert I. Goodman
Robert I. Goodman, who earned his law degree from the distinguished Columbia University School of Law, is an experienced and effective litigation attorney. Currently, he is the president and executive director of the International Center for Law, Trade, and Diplomacy, Inc. and is an administrator for the online legal advice hub, InternationalLawHelp.com.
Mr. Goodman is a member of many esteemed professional organizations, including the New York County Lawyers' Association (NYCLA) and the Association of the Bar of the City of New York. He is also the former advisor for various committees of the NYCLA and former lecturer for law students' summer seminar in public international law and human rights. His admissions include New York State, the District of Columbia, the Southern and Eastern federal districts of New York, and the Second Circuit Court of Appeals.
Gary Pitts
Gary Pitts, a retired captain in the Army National Guard, devotes much of his practice to representing the Gulf War Veterans who have been plagued with health ailments since the 1991 war. A lawsuit has been filed against the companies that built Saddam Hussein's chemical and nerve gas facilities, provided him with production materials for those facilities and their contents, and sold him chemical precursors for those weapons of mass destruction. When these facilities were destroyed during the Gulf War, the toxic chemicals were carried downwind, causing severe ailments (including a multi-symptom neurological disorder) in these veterans and even birth defects in their children.
Mr. Pitts earned his law degree at Tulane University in New Orleans. Through the affiliated Texas-based law firm of Pitts & Associates, Mr. Pitts is counsel to the New York City personal injury attorneys of McCallion & Associates LLP.
