He graduated from California Western School of Law in 1989 (Juris Doctorate Cum Laude). He served as an editor of the California Western Law Review-International Law Journal and was the chief editor of the California Western Directory. He received a Master of Arts in Bioethics in 2004, where he graduated with the Outstanding Achievement Award from the College of Health Sciences at Midwestern University and Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Friedman received his Doctorate of Philosophy involving comparative ethics Magna Cum Laude in 2006.
Dr. Friedman was admitted to the State Bar of Arizona in 1989 (section member of trial practice; employment and labor law), the State Bar of Colorado in 1992, the District of Columbia and the Federal Bar in 2004. He is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Arizona, the United States District Court of Arizona, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the United States Supreme Court.
