Born in Roselle, New Jersey, Carol grew up in Westchester County, New York. She earned her undergraduate degree from the College of the Holy Cross (Worcester, Massachusetts) and her law degree from St. John’s University. She has been a member of the New York State Bar for nineteen years and has been admitted to practice in the Eastern and Southern Districts of Federal District Court. She worked for many years as an associate with the New York City Law Department, defending the City against many of the largest case brought against it. She also worked for the prestigious law firm of Acito and Klein in Manhattan. Ms. Schlitt has worked as a solo attorney for the past nine years.
