  K. Kim Shaffer is from Bucklin, Missouri. She graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia where she received a B.A. in Russian Language. Kim attended graduate school at the University of Kansas where she earned a M.A. in Russian Area Studies. She then attended the Moscow State Pedagogical Institute in Moscow, Russia where she was awarded a Certificate from the Ministry of HigherEducation of the Russian Federation. Her Juris Doctor degree is from the University of Missouri --Kansas City.
  
  While in law school, Kim was involved in trial advocacy, appellate advocacy and was selected as a national team member of the Moot Court Appellate Advocacy Team. She has worked for the Ronan Law Firm for eight (8) years.
