John Kitta is an active trial attorney with over 25 years of proven quality winning courtroom experience. He has received many awards and recognitions for his achievements and is a life-long resident of his local community.

Mr. Kitta attended the University of Santa Clara where he received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1973. He earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Santa Clara in 1976. He was admitted to the California Bar in 1976 and is admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court. He is a member of the State Bar of California, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, past president of Washington Township Bar Association, past president of the Alameda County Board of Education, appointed by the Governor to the California Crime Resistance Task Force Commission, included in Who's Who in American Law and Who's Who in California and recognized for his contributions to the legal profession by the American Biographical Institute. Kevin Robert Allen attended the University of California, Los Angeles where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English in 1999. He spent three years working for a top advertising firm’s media department before deciding to return to school and pursue a career in law. Mr. Allen began working for John N. Kitta & Associates in March of 2004. He graduated in the top 10% of his class from the Santa Clara University School Of Law in June of 2005. While in school, he was a technical editor of the Santa Clara Law Review, a competitor in the Honors Moot Court Competition and also interned full time for a semester with an Administrative Law Judge at the Federal Department of Labor’s San Francisco office where he helped draft orders and opinions concerning the Federal Harbor Workers Compensation Act. Mr. Allen took the July 2005 bar exam and was sworn into the California State Bar in December 2005. Mr. Allen is quickly gaining civil litigation experience – he constantly meets with clients, attends and argues hearings, and mediations and has successfully settled many cases to date. His focus is on real property law, traditional tort law as well as some employment law matters. He is also on the Alameda County Bar Associations attorney referral list. Mr. Allen currently lives in Pleasant Hill with his wife.

When you first call our firm or come to see an attorney, usually the first person with whom you will have contact will be Roz McCormack, our receptionist and in charge of accounts receivable. She calendars,also does the calendaring of cases for court and client appointments for the attorneys.

Roz has been with the firm for almost 20 years, and is extremely well versed on all cases in this office. She is also the person who will handle all issues with you relative to all billing issues.

Diane Rinetti is legal assistant/secretary for the office’s civil litigation, real estate and personal injury law matters. She has worked for Mr. Kitta for approximately 22 years. Diane is also our office manager and takes care of all accounts payable in the office.

Nancy Petratuona is the legal assistant/secretary for our family law cases. She has been with the firm for approximately 11 years, and familiar with all family law issues. She is quite knowledgeable as far as the procedures for family law cases, and always available to help our clients in any way possible.
