Most people are not trained in the field of insurance law. Most people are very fair-minded, and think that an insurance company employee, usually an adjuster, is there to help them. We need to keep in mind that the adjuster may be a nice, fair-minded person but they are paid by the insurance company to meet the goals of the insurance company, and not necessarily your goals.

In most cases, in injured person is better off having their own attorney and counsel because the insurance company employees have their own attorneys giving them advice.

• Mr. Parker, what does it cost me to hire your law firm?

This is an important question and one that I like to discuss openly with my clients.

We work on a contingent fee system which means that the more money we get for you, the more we make for us.

Our percentage is only 33 1/3 if we settle your case without going to court. Over 95% of our cases are settled at 33 1/3 percent. The few cases that do not settle and have to go to court will have a slightly higher fee, usually 40%.

If for any reason your case has no recovery, I want you to fully understand you won't owe us a penny.  Nothing at all.
