Oregon Personal Injury Lawyer and Animal Law Attorney

Oregon personal injury lawyer and animal law attorney Dane E. Johnson is honored to represent individuals seeking aggressive legal counsel to recover compensation for serious losses and harms and to protect legal rights.

We consider cases involving wrongful death, serious bodily injury, property damage, or harm to individual rights caused by automobile accidents, bicycle accidents, motorcycle accidents, or truck accidents; employment law, including discrimination and workers’ compensation; defective products; medical malpractice; dangerous premises; or wrongful conduct. If you are interested in learning more about personal injury issues, we invite you to visit Oregon Torts Blog, our personal injury blog.

Our mission is to use the law to help reduce as much of the suffering caused by the wrongful conduct of others as possible. We consider helping animals part of our commitment to serving those who have been seriously injured or wronged, and we welcome cases involving all animal-related legal issues, including: dog law; harm to animals caused by animal services such as kennels, groomers, farriers, and trainers; property disputes; dog bites; and veterinary malpractice. If you are interested in animal law issues, we invite you to visit Animals Attorney Blog, our animal law blog.

We are committed to litigating accident and injury cases aggressively to fix and make up for serious harms and to representing clients compassionately after significant, perhaps tragic, losses. We also work to improve the law so that it provides greater protection for people and animals alike.

Whether or not wrongful conduct was intentional, we may be able to help you recover compensation in a personal injury lawsuit. If you or a loved one have suffered serious injury or harm or seek to protect your legal interests and rights, we would be pleased to consider your case. We believe in making all legal matters easier to cope with, starting from our first contact. We will talk with you as many times as necessary, without charge, until we determine if we can help.

Frequent injury questions

What should I do if I think that I may have a personal injury case?

If you or loved ones have been injured by negligence or wrongful conduct, it is important to have an Oregon personal injury attorney evaluate any injury claim you might have. Oregon law requires that personal injury and wrongful death claims be made within strict time limitations. An Oregon injury attorney or Oregon accident attorney can help you figure out whether you have a legal claim. Whether you have a case depends on whether you have suffered injury or damage caused by someone else’s wrongful conduct. Even if you have, an Oregon personal injury lawyer can determine whether the law gives you a legal right to recover compensation from the wrongdoer. You must also think about the costs involved in taking your case to court, as well as the insurance, money, or other assets that the wrongdoer can pay you.

Do I need to file a lawsuit?

Maybe not. But the Law Office of Dane E. Johnson prepares every personal injury case as if it will end in a trial. If the wrongdoer knows that you understand your legal rights and are ready and able to protect your legal rights by taking your case to trial prepared to win, you are more likely to receive full and fair compensation.

Can I afford to hire a personal injury lawyer?

We do not charge for the initial consultation on your case. The Law Office of Dane E. Johnson provides a free case evaluation and handles personal injury cases for a percentage of all money damages recovered, also called a contingency fee. We may handle animal law cases on a flat fee, retainer, or hourly basis. We base all of our fees on our knowledge, expertise, and service, and we spell them out clearly in writing.
