We consider helping animals part of our commitment to serving those who have been seriously injured or wronged, and we welcome cases involving all animal-related legal issues, including: dog law; harm to animals caused by animal services such as kennels, groomers, farriers, and trainers; property disputes; dog bites; and veterinary malpractice. We believe in making all legal matters easier to cope with, starting from our first contact. We will talk with you as many times as necessary, without charge, until we determine if we can help.
Frequent injury questions
What should I do if I think that I may have a personal injury case?
If you or loved ones have been injured by negligence or wrongful conduct, it is important to have an Oregon personal injury attorney evaluate any injury claim you might have. Oregon law requires that personal injury and wrongful death claims be made within strict time limitations. An Oregon injury attorney or Oregon accident attorney can help you figure out whether you have a legal claim. Whether you have a case depends on whether you have suffered injury or damage caused by someone else’s wrongful conduct. Even if you have, an Oregon personal injury lawyer can determine whether the law gives you a legal right to recover compensation from the wrongdoer. You must also think about the costs involved in taking your case to court, as well as the insurance, money, or other assets that the wrongdoer can pay you.
Do I need to file a lawsuit?
Maybe not. But the Law Office of Dane E. Johnson prepares every personal injury case as if it will end in a trial. If the wrongdoer knows that you understand your legal rights and are ready and able to protect your legal rights by taking your case to trial prepared to win, you are more likely to receive full and fair compensation.
Can I afford to hire a personal injury lawyer?
We do not charge for the initial consultation on your case. The Law Office of Dane E. Johnson provides a free case evaluation and handles personal injury cases for a percentage of all money damages recovered, also called a contingency fee. We may handle animal law cases on a flat fee, retainer, or hourly basis. We base all of our fees on our knowledge, expertise, and service, and we spell them out clearly in writing.
