Who I am:
I was born in Waterbury, Connecticut on October 5, 1943. I attended college at the University of Connecticut, graduating with honors in 1966. From there, I decided to enroll in the Georgetown University Law Center and received my law degree in 1969. I have been practicing law for a very long time (nearly 40 years) and have handled thousands of cases involving the following:
Personal Injury Wrongful Death
Nursing Home Abuse Product Liability
Legal Malpractice Medical Malpractice
Corporate Law Toxic / Black Mold
Business Related Problems & Commercial Litigation
How I Will Serve You:
Like all the attorneys at Slater & Zurz, LLP, I am focused on getting results for all my clients as quickly as possible. That means meticulously preparing your case and aggressively pursuing it. In most circumstances, I can get your case successfully resolved at mediation and avoid a lengthy trial. If your case does need to go to trial, I have a long and established track record of success.
Why I Practice Law:
It's simple.... I like to help people in all types of cases, big or small. I want you to call me so we can discuss your case. It will be my pleasure to speak with you and provide you with immediate feedback on how we can solve your legal issue.
My Most Memorable Cases:
There have been quite a few over the years. Here are just a few:
A college student was involved in a car accident and received injuries that hospitalized him. While in the hospital, his feeding tube was improperly inserted and he suffered additional injuries that placed him into a coma. Fortunately, he was able to recover from the coma.We were able to obtain a very substantial monetary settlement for him from the hospital.
A man was involved in a truck accident and developed RSD (Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy), an extremely painful disorder of the arms and hands. The man hired an attorney and was advised to settle for an amount that was grossly inadequate. He terminated his relationship with that attorney and hired me. We were then able to successfully reach a settlement that was three times the amount initially offered.
