Steve W. Mullins

Steve W. Mullins grew up on the Mississippi Gulf Coast and is a 1983 graduate of Ocean Springs High School where he was active in football and student government. He later attended the University of Mississippi and received his BBA in Business Management in 1987 and his MBA in 1989, both with high honors. He also received a Juris Doctorate degree from Louisiana State University in 1993. Steve is licensed to practice law in Mississippi, Louisiana and Alabama.

Steve is married to the former Jennifer Finney of Shreveport, Louisiana, and has two (2) children: Wright and Anne Carter, who are both students at St. Paul's Episcopal School in Mobile, AL. Steve is active in all aspects of his children's lives and can often be seen coaching various sporting events or helping with Boy Scout events.

He is actively involved in our political system, having served as campaign manager and political consultant for numerous candidates. He is an active outdoorsman and advocate for conservation and environmental issues, having served as Chairman of the Board and President of CCA of Mississippi and having been involved with numerous other conservation organizations such as Ducks Unlimited and the Nature Conservancy.

Steve is also an active member of the Mississippi Bar and the Mississippi Association for Justice and has been elected President of the Jackson County Bar Association and is the President-elect of the Mississippi Association for Justice and has served the Mississippi Bar on numerous committees and has been an invited speaker at the Professionalism program sponsored by the Bar at both the University of Mississippi Law School and the Mississippi College Law School.

The majority of Steve's practice is dedicated to complex litigation including, toxic torts, product liability, asbestos, silica, toxic mold and construction defects. He is a frequent speaker on these topics. His clients consist almost exclusively of small businesses and individuals. He has represented thousands of people in various toxic mold cases and silica and asbestos processing throughout Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana and Texas. Steve has represented dozens of individuals against insurance companies for their Hurricane Katrina claims and tried one of the most important cases in that litigation which had a successful outcome in the Miss. Federal Court styled Webster vs. USAA. In the Webster case, the jury found the damages were caused 100% by wind and returned a million dollar plus verdict in favor of the homeowners.
