James Roswold has been in practice since 1990. While still in law school, he obtained early litigation experience as a member of the Iowa Legal Clinic. During law school, he gained additional litigation experience clerking for a sole practitioner whose practice included personal injury.
James is a graduate of University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management in Minneapolis, MN, graduating magna cum laude, and University of Iowa Law School in Iowa City, IA, receiving his law degree and graduating with distinction, and he is admitted to practice law in both State and Federal Courts in Missouri and Kansas.
James started his legal career working for a defense litigation firm, where he litigated personal injury, insurance, FELA, and asbestos cases. In a short time working for a defense firm, he gained an insight into "the other side's" preparation of a civil case, something that would become highly useful in his practice just three years later when he joined a law firm in Kansas City, MO and began his career of representing victims of injury accidents and medical negligence. There he was involved in all types of civil litigation, aggressively pursuing personal injury, medical malpractice, wrongful death, consumer fraud, charitable fundraising, property insurance and workers' compensation cases on behalf of injured victims. Two years later, he helped start a law firm in Kansas City, MO representing personal injury victims where he became a partner in 1999.
Fourteen years later, James decided he could best serve his clients by opening his own office for the practice of law in cases dealing with injured victims of personal injury, medical negligence, wrongful death, workers compensation, nursing home negligence, premises liability, product liability, and accident cases.
James takes pride in obtaining fair and just compensation for seriously injured people throughout both Missouri and Kansas. Roswold Law Group office is located in Kansas City, MO, and there is an affiliate office in Overland Park, KS by appointment only.
Having his own law firm, James is able to provide the most personalized and individualized attention to each and every one of his clients. In his office, every client is a very important person not a file. He treats his clients with the dignity and the respect that they deserve and expect from a professional. He prides himself on knowing the details of the cases he handles. He knows what happened last on the client's case when he receives a call because he was directly involved in the matter.
James is a prolific writer and Roswold Law Group publishes a monthly newsletter full of important legal news and fun facts. In addition to his newsletter, he produces and creates instructional videos and has created an ever expanding educational video library that helps consumers learn about personal injury, medical malpractice and workers compensation law in Missouri and Kansas.
