In many ways, The Oncale Firm is a different kind of law firm.  Each and every client of the firm will have an initial consultation with our founder, Shane Oncale.  Mr. Oncale will speak with you personally about your case and will answer any questions my may have for free as part of an initial consultation.  If you decide to retain Mr. Oncale, he will personally speak to you when you call and will handle your case personally.  If he refers you to another attorney or staff member in our office, that attorney or staff member will work with you on your case, personally take your calls and answer any questions you might have.  You will have a personal relationship with whoever works on your case and you will not just be another number.  You will meet our founder and if you are ever unhappy with the service you are receiving, you will have a personal relationship and right to call him for further consultation or involvement.

Goal-Oriented Strategy-Driven Representation

In the handling of divorce and family law cases, we strive to provide a goal-oriented, strategy-driven representation.  We respect our clients enough that we want them to be personally involved in their own cases.  I know saying that sounds a little odd, but, in many law firms, the client’s involvement in setting the goals and strategies of the case are bypassed and the case becomes more about the ego and desires of the attorney involved in the case than it does about the client.  We believe that for any representation to be successful, the client must be actively involved in setting the goals and determining the strategies used to accomplish those goals.  This is true from the smallest uncontested divorce case to the most complex high net worth divorce or child custody case.  While the goals may be less complex and the strategies much simpler, the concept remains the same.  Whatever happens in your divorce or family law case happens to you.  It does not happen to me and it does not happen to my law firm.  For that reason, you must take a personal stake in your case and be involved in setting the goals and strategies for that case.  We will help to you to set those goals and strategies and we will give input as to what goals and strategies are realistic, useful and worth your hard-earned money.  However, we will not dictate to you what you must do, what you have to do or what we are going to do.  At each step of the way, you will take an active role in your case and the strategies employed to reach our mutually agreed upon goal.
