Mediation Solutions is the first company in East Central Illinois dedicated solely to mediation. Mediation Solutions offers mediation services for all types of disputes from bankruptcy cases, business disputes, employment problems, landlord-tenant disputes, to divorce and even probate or personal injuries.
Mediation Solutions can help its clients resolve most disputes in a single day. Lawsuits take years, put strangers in the driver’s seat and can be very costly. Mediation keeps the parties in control, is cost effective, and is invariably faster than filing a lawsuit. In some cases, the cost of the entire mediation can be within $200.00 of the cost of filing the law suit.
Occasionally, disputes cannot be fully resolved by mediation. In those cases, mediation can narrow the question that must be handled by a court so that it reduces the duration and expense of litigation.
Mediation Solutions was created by Dan and Helen Pope to fill a need in the East Central Illinois area, where law firms abound, but no one was offering mediation solutions for folks who weren’t already involved with lawyers and/or involved in lawsuits that had already taken years. Both Dan and Helen are Certified Professional Mediators with over 15 years of mediation experience.

Who is Behind Mediation Solutions?
Dan and Helen Pope are attorneys who are focused more on finding solutions to their clients’ problems than on allowing their disputes to turn into wars.
Both Dan and Helen have worked in both big city and smaller community firms; both have worked at huge high power firms and small firms with five or fewer attorneys, and they have both served as General Counsel to corporations with a wide variety of legal issues. Between them, they have handled cases ranging from small landlord-tenant issues to multi-billion dollar business disputes; divorce and child support issues to medical malpractice; contract negotiations and construction disputes; even government contracts disputes. They have each represented both the plaintiffs and defendants in civil cases. Dan has also handled criminal cases from both the prosecution and the defense side.
In addition to their legal careers, both Dan and Helen have worked in other industries. Dan spent a number of years in the banking industry, and Helen has taught business communication at the university level, served as systems operator for a manufacturing companies computer system, worked in retail, and even dispatched the police. Their varied backgrounds give them insight into all sorts of options for resolving disputes in any context.
More importantly, both are Certified Professional Mediators.
