I was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts. The son of an Irish immigrant from County Kerry, Ireland and raised in a working class family, I have a deep appreciation, pride and respect for the American Dream.
I am fluent in Spanish and am privileged to represent many clients from the Latin American community in the Greater Boston area.
I focus my law practice on helping working people who have been hurt on the job and accident victims who have been injured due to some else's negligence. I have had success as a Boston, Mass. workers compensation attorney, securing workers compensation benefits and settlements for my clients. I strive to provide my clients with caring and responsive legal representation. I pride himself on serving as a counselor to my clients and a strong advocate on their behalf in court and at the Department of Industrial Accidents.
I graduated from Suffolk University Law School in 1993 and was admitted to the Massachusetts state bar in December 1993. After graduation, I worked as an associate attorney at the Law Offices of Sherwin L. Kantrovitz, Rainer & Rainer and Shapiro & Associates. From 1999 through 2006, I represented injured workers and accident victims as a founding partner of Georgiou & Sheehan. In 2007, I founded the Law Office of John J. Sheehan where I continue to fight for just and fair compensation for injured workers and accident victims.
I am admitted to the Massachusetts state bar, U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts and the U.S. Court of Appeals, 1st Circuit. I am a member of the American Bar Association (ABA), The American Association for Justice (formerly known as Association of Trial Lawyers of America or ATLA), the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys (MATA), and the Massachusetts Bar Association (MBA).

Jessica Vizcaino, Paralegal
Jessica Vizcaino joined the Law Office of John J. Sheehan as a paralegal in June 2010. Ms. Vizcaino is bilingual in English and Spanish. She assists Attorney Sheehan in the area of workers compensation claims, motor vehicle tort claims, third-party tort claims and Social Security Disability (SSDI) claims. She has more than seven years experience working as a legal assistant and paralegal in New York and Massachusetts. She holds a paralegal certificate from Northeastern University.
