LAW PRACTICE William grew up the son of a trial lawyer and followed in his father’s footsteps. After clerking with them for a number of years in high school and college, William joined his father’s firm, O'Neil, Parker & Williamson in Knoxville, Tennessee in 2011. In April of 2012, William and his wife, a native Memphian, relocated to Memphis, Tennessee. William decided to start his own law practice focusing on his passion for representing criminally accused and injured Tennesseans. William went to law school in Washington, D.C., the city with the most per capita attorneys in the world. During law school, Mr. Young focused heavily on developing the skills needed to become a great trial lawyer. As a student-attorney, he successfully represented the criminal accused in the District of Columbia through the renowned D.C. Law Students in Court Program. He was also a student-member of the Thurgood Marshall American Inn of Court. Furthermore, Mr. Young had the privilege of working on civil and criminal appeals for both the Tennessee Court of Appeals and the Maryland Court of Special Appeals while still in law school.
In late 2011, the Tennessee Supreme Court unanimously affirmed an opinion William helped Judge Susano of the Tennessee Court of Appeals author while he was still a law student. William has aggressively represented clients on a wide variety of legal matters in both state and federal court. His results speak for themselves. William has defended Tennesseans accused a variety of criminal offenses including DUI, Felony Theft and Felony Burglary. Furthermore, he has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in a number of civil matters, including representing a major theme park in a breach of contract action against a foreign ride manufacturer (confidential settlement), representing a manufacturing company accused of retaliatory discharge (dismissal with prejudice), and representing a consumer who purchased a vehicle with an undisclosed lien (full refund of purchase price and all related expenses).
