Massachusetts Medical Malpractice and Personal Injury Lawyers
Crowe & Mulvey, LLP, recognizes that injured victims have legal and personal needs that are very different from those of business and corporate clients. We seek to meet those needs by providing our clients with not only high-quality legal representation, but also with individual attention and emotional support to help them through the difficult time that accompanies a serious injury or death in the family.
At Crowe & Mulvey, LLP, the senior partners are personally involved in each case to make sure that each client gets the benefit of our many years of experience in representing injured victims. Teams of lawyers and nurses meet regularly to discuss the progress of each case and to plan strategies designed to maximize recovery for each client. Unlike large-volume personal injury firms, which adopt an impersonal, assembly-line attitude toward case preparation, our approach to each case is highly individualized and tailored to the specific facts of the case and the particular needs of the client.
While our lawyers and nurses are familiar and comfortable with the litigation process, we understand that it can be mystifying and intimidating to our clients. We want our clients to know that the attorneys and nurses working on their case are always just a phone call away, and that no question is too small or too insignificant to be answered.
Our Practice Areas
Death and serious injury can result from a wide variety of negligence. Doctors, hospitals, corporations, and insurance companies have access to skilled lawyers and other resources to defend claims of negligence brought against them. At Crowe & Mulvey, LLP, we have the experience and resources to help injured victims stand up and fight for their rights, and even to help prevent similar injuries to others in the future. Our team of lawyers and nurses has the experience and understanding necessary to provide clients with assistance in cases involving:
These and other types of injuries can have devastating consequences for victims and their families, and those responsible should be held accountable for the harm caused by their actions.
Fees and Expenses
All of our cases are accepted on a contingent fee basis. This means that our legal fee is paid out of money recovered for the client, whether by a settlement or as a result of a jury verdict. The fee is a percentage of the total amount recovered. The contingent fee system makes it possible for clients to obtain high-quality legal representation even if they cannot afford to pay in advance.
Before we decide to accept a case, we will evaluate it at no charge to the client. Unlike some personal injury firms, it is not our policy to ask clients for a retainer or other money “up front,” or to pay any litigation costs unless and until we obtain compensation for their injuries.
Crowe & Mulvey, LLP, will advance the costs necessary to pursue a case. If we are successful in obtaining a recovery, our expenses are reimbursed by the client out of the settlement or verdict. These expenses might include court fees, deposition costs, and expert witness fees. If there is no recovery in a case, the client owes nothing for legal fees or expenses.
About Our Team
Clients of Crowe & Mulvey, LLP receive the benefit of an entire team of professionals working on their case. While many law firms assign cases to individuals, we assign cases to an entire team of professionals. Attorneys, nurses, paralegals, law clerks, and legal secretaries meet regularly to discuss the past, present, and future plan for your case. Whether it’s how to convey a particular strength of your case or how to best handle a troublesome aspect of your case, we use our team meetings as one way to stimulate new and creative ways to handle your case. It’s part of what makes Crowe & Mulvey, LLP different. It’s how we ensure that we’ve gone the extra mile and how we know that we’ve done the very best for our clients.
