My name is Anthony Spratley. Over the years, I have prosecuted many people for the federal government in criminal charges ranging from misdemeanors to serious felonies. What that means to you is this….if you’re in trouble, I know what the prosecution is going to try to do, and if there is a way to stop them, I will.
While still in law school, I was an extern for the New Mexico Attorneys General office criminal division. After graduation, I worked as a federal prosecutor as an Air Force JAG (Attorney) and as a Reserve JAG before founding this law firm.
I focus 100 percent of my time and talents on criminal defense. I protect my clients’ rights with passion and purpose, always doing whatever it takes to get the best possible result in a case. Through negotiating with prosecutors, working to suppress illegally obtained evidence before the trial, or using my extensive courtroom experience at trial, I handle every case personally, and will work to achieve the best possible result in your case.
Background
I graduated from law school in May of 2003. After graduation, I decided to dedicate my career to the criminal justice system. This is the only type of law I have ever wanted to practice.
As a federal prosecutor, I tried cases in the United States and around the world including England, Portugal and in the Middle East before starting this law firm. During my time as a prosecutor, I tried many types of misdemeanor and felony cases and served as Chief of Military Justice and a Chief of Adverse Actions.
As a Reserve JAG, the government has requested that I serve as a trial Prosecutor, hearing officer for the equivalent of a criminal grand jury hearing and attorney advisor for employment discharge hearings. I have also received numerous awards, commendations and medals from the government. While I enjoyed my role as a JAG and gained a lot of experience, I realized that I wanted to do things differently by opening my own practice and defend those who need help against the government. As a private attorney I am doing just that.
I know that allotting enough time is critical in defense work. It means that important details are not missed, my clients and I can work closely as a team, and clients have access to me any time they have a question. Exhaustive reviews and analysis can be done on every case. This allows me to devote all of my talent and creativity to defending each client.
