Robert F. Healey Jr.
Managing Attorney
My name is Robert F. Healey. I received my legal education and law degree from the University Of Dayton School of Law. Currently, I manage the Suhre & Associates DUI practice in the Dayton area.
Joe Suhre and I went to high school and college together. I also worked side by side with him in the office watching hundreds of DUI videos, collecting DUI evidence from police departments, and discussing case strategy on DUI and OVI cases as his law clerk for several years prior to my admission to practice law in Ohio.
I limit my practice to Ohio DUI and OVI defense almost exclusively. I have defended DUI and OVI cases in just about every court in southwest Ohio. My experience extends to defending misdemeanor and felony DUI and OVI cases.
I belong to the following legal organizations:
- National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL)
- I have participated for several years in the NACDL DUI continuing education annual seminar in Las Vegas. I have studied under some of the best DUI and OVI defense lawyers in the country.
- The Ohio State Bar Association (OSBA)
In 2011 I received the following certification:
- Standardized Field Sobriety Tests Training (La Pier & Assoc.)
- Received the award for “most participation” in my class.
- Certified on the 2009 revision of the 2006 NHTSA student manual.
Matt Jewson
My name is Matt Jewson and I have defended DUI and OVI cases in the Dayton area throughout my career.
I grew up in Dayton, Ohio and have lived here for most of my life. My parents both worked when I was growing up. My Dad owned his own business and then was a manufacturing consultant. My Mom was a Speech Therapist.
I went to High School at Northmont and while in school, I played tennis and participated in a number of other activities as well.
As I neared graduation, I decided that I would attend Ohio University because that’s where my parents went to school. I graduated from Ohio University in 1991. Right after graduation I went to work as a tile setter to earn some money because I really wanted to go to Law School.
The idea of becoming a judge someday appealed to me – and to be a judge, you have to have a law degree. I was told by everyone who knew me that my analytical skills and propensity to argue were a perfect match for the career.
I decided to go to the Ohio State School of Law. It was in-state and had a very good reputation.
I graduated in 1994 and went to work for the Montgomery County Prosecutors Office and gained a tremendous amount of litigation and courtroom experience.
After a number of years there, I joined L. Patrick Mulligan & Associates, a criminal defense and divorce firm in Dayton, known for a very high profile and aggressive style of representation.
To round out my legal experience, I joined Pickerel, Schaeffer and Ebeling. The firm was a well established and respected firm concentrating on business clients in the Dayton area for nearly 100 years. The reason I joined this firm is because I wanted to gain experience as a civil trial lawyer in addition to my prior legal focus in the criminal and family law areas. I was a member of the litigation team and I tried 13 jury trials in one year there, including high level felonies and civil matters.
And in 2010, I agreed to manage Suhre & Associates Dayton, Ohio office where I help individuals with their divorce actions and other family law matters.
I look forward to helping you with your divorce or family law matter….in a compassionate and professional manner.

In addition, those sports are not appropriate for younger children from a safety perspective. I do still spend a fair amount of time sailing and boating with the family.

Joe Patituce
Lead Attorney
Attorney Joe Patituce left the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office located in Cleveland, Ohio, in January 2010 to begin practice as a criminal defense attorney.
In his career as both a prosecutor and a defense attorney he has worked as a first chair (or lead) attorney in thousands of criminal cases. As the lead attorney he has been responsible for every aspect of litigation from discovery and gathering evidence to trial by judge or jury. In his career he has taken over 150 cases to trial by jury and has over a 95% success rate for his clients.
His cases have spanned the spectrum from murder, rape, gross sexual imposition, to domestic violence and DUI/OVI. As a prosecutor he gained valuable experience into how police conduct their investigations into alleged drunk driving incidents. He has been trained each, of the three recognized, breathalyzer machines that Ohio recognizes as being legitimate – and he has had success demonstrating how unreliable they are.
He always prepares as if he is going to trial, he does not believe his clients are served by simply working towards a plea. By preparing for trial and challenging the evidence his clients obtain better results from the pressure placed on the prosecutor and police.
Joe Patituce is admitted to practice in all state courts in Ohio, and is admitted to practice in the United States Federal District Court- Northern District of Ohio.
Joe Patituce belongs to the Ohio State Bar Association and the Ohio Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
