Educational and Professional Background
Mr. Abelson earned his B.A. in 1971 from Pennsylvania State University in University Park, Pa. He earned his J.D. from the New England Law School in Boston, where he graduated cum laude in 1974. After graduating, Attorney Abelson was admitted to practice in a number of jurisdictions:
- Massachusetts Bar in 1974
- Pennsylvania Bar and admitted to practice before the U.S. District of Massachusetts in 1975
- District of Columbia Bar and the Maryland Bar in 1977
- U.S. Court for the District of Columbia in 1977
- U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland in 1984
- Admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court in 2002.
